About GCF; Activities

The Graduate Christian Fellowship is a community of graduate students who come together to learn and seek to follow God in their daily lives around campus.  We're a part of InterVarsity's division of Graduate and Faculty Ministries.

Our Vision

We believe that God has called and equipped Christian graduate students and faculty to be a redeeming influence among the people, ideas, and structure of the university and professions.  In the power of the Spirit, we share the following four commitments: Spiritual Formation, Community, Evangelism and Service, and Integration of Faith Learning and Practice.

For more information about our beliefs and purpose, please read InterVarsity's doctrinal basis and Graduate & Faculty Ministries' Four Commitments.  We take both of these statements very seriously and try to live by them and promote them in our group!

Our Activities

  • During the year:
    • We have weekly prayer meetings organized by discipline.
    • We have two weekly Bible studies: Tues evening and Thurs evening at people's apartments close to campus.
    • Every other Friday evening we have large groups, which can include worship, discussions, speakers, and even an occasional potluck or outing.
    • We usually attend or host at least one off-campus retreat during the year.
  • During the summer:
    • We have a weekly Bible study and time of prayer for each other.
